CPD & career development
Your CPD shouldn’t feel like admin.
Most tools just store what you did. Path turns the same activity into a case for your expertise — showing where you’re strong, where you’re thin, and the next move worth making. It serves the box you have to tick — renewal, revalidation, a fellowship — and the harder thing underneath: getting genuinely better at the work. You keep the judgement and the voice; Path keeps the shape, and the evidence is there when it counts.

How Path works
Build your case
Build the case for your next step
Everything you do, mapped to what you’re working towards — so the portfolio builds as you grow, and always shows you what to do next.

Most tools are a filing cabinet for what you’ve already done. Path is for the practitioner who treats their development as a direction they choose — and builds the evidence for it, deliberately, as they go.
See your gaps
See where you’re strong, where you’re thin — and what to do next
Path doesn’t just record activity. It maps your evidence against the standard and rates how strongly each criterion is met — so a coverage map shows not just what’s done, but the single highest-value move to close the gap.
Evidence quality
Not just what you logged — how well you evidenced it
Path rates each piece of evidence against Miller’s pyramid — the framework used in professional education to describe how deeply someone has demonstrated competence. A certificate says you attended. A practice record says you did it, with real outcomes to show for it.
Your portfolio map shows not just which criteria you’ve covered, but how strongly — so you can target richer evidence where the standard demands it.
Does
Clinical audit, peer observation of live practice, patient outcomes.
Shows how
OSCEs, simulation, assessed presentation, recorded supervision.
Knows how
Case studies, reflections with applied action, planned CPD enacted.
Knows
Certificates, attendance records, reading lists, course completion.

Capture anywhere
Capture it the moment it happens
The best evidence is the kind you’d otherwise forget. Path works in your phone’s browser — there’s no app to install — so you can grab a photo or a quick note on the spot and file it later.
- Snap a photo. A certificate, a whiteboard, a thank-you card — straight from your camera into your inbox.
- Jot a quick note. A reflection while it’s fresh, before the detail fades.
- Categorise later. Captures wait in your inbox until you’re ready to turn them into a claim, CPD, reflection, or evidence.
Same account, same data — just the part of Path you reach for on the move.

Reviews
Members submit a path; you allocate reviewers and decide.
How the review works
A structured review process, without the friction
- A member submits their path for review when ready. An admin allocates one or more reviewers from the institution.
- Each reviewer works independently through the criteria — reading the claims and evidence alongside them — leaving feedback and a recommendation.
- Feedback reaches the member alongside their actual work, attributed anonymously to a “Reviewer” — review is blind, and reviewers don't see each other's comments.
- The admin makes the final decision and sees aggregate progress across the cohort — never the detail of an individual's portfolio.

Audit-led change to follow-up pathway
I led an audit of follow-up appointments, found a gap, and redesigned the pathway — re-audit showed a measurable improvement…
A3.2 · Evidence-informed practice
Demonstrating evidence-informed practice in curriculum design
Draft · Last updated 12 Jun 2026
I applied evidence from systematic reviews of active learning pedagogy to redesign three core modules, shifting from lecture-based delivery to case-based formats. Student performance data over two cohorts shows a statistically significant improvement in summative assessment outcomes against the previous curriculum.
Reviewer feedback
Strong use of longitudinal data. The two-cohort comparison is exactly what the panel will want to see.

For your organisation
Know what your people are developing towards — and meet your standard
Whether you’re a university, an NHS trust, or a professional body, Path gives you an anonymous, aggregate picture of how your people are developing against the standards that matter — so you can commission the right support and show your standard is being met, without putting anyone under surveillance.
Privacy by design
Visibility without surveillance
Your organisation dashboard shows cohort-level data by default — how many members have started a path, what frameworks they’re using, where coverage is strong and where it isn’t. You see patterns, not people.
A person becomes visible by name only when they submit a path for review — an explicit, deliberate act of sharing. Until then, Path protects their portfolio as theirs.
What you see by default
- What your people are developing towards, by type
- Framework coverage across the cohort
- CPD hours and evidence quality, aggregate
- Criterion-level coverage across all frameworks
What stays private
- Individual claim content and reflections
- Whose evidence supports which criterion
- Personal profile details
- Everything, until the member chooses to share

Run a CPD scheme, register, or membership grade?
Whether you run a CPD scheme, a clinical register, or a membership grade, Path lets you define your framework and see how well your members are evidencing it — without becoming their employer or their regulator.

Your standards, not ours
Your framework. Their evidence. Your insight.
Path doesn’t prescribe what counts as professional development. You define the standards — your CPD criteria, your competency framework, your membership grade requirements — and members gather evidence against them.
The result is an aggregate picture of how well your membership is meeting your standards, by criterion and by evidence strength — ready to share with a board, a regulator, or a funding body, without burdening any individual member.
You define the criteria
Add your standards, competences, or CPD requirements. Group them into pillars. Describe what evidence counts.
Members evidence against them
Each member builds their own portfolio against your framework — claims, CPD, reflections, evidence — rated by strength.
You see aggregate compliance
Your dashboard shows criterion-by-criterion coverage across your membership, updated as members add evidence.

9 members · evidence quality by Miller level
Numbers = members with evidence at that level or above. All data is aggregate and anonymous.
Your members are already doing the CPD. Path gives them — and you — a way to show what it means, and to demonstrate that your standard is being met, not just acknowledged.
Privacy & security
Your portfolio is yours, and it’s protected
Path holds sensitive professional work, so security isn’t an afterthought — it’s built into how the app is structured and run.
- Two-factor authentication. Add a code from an authenticator app at sign-in, so a leaked password alone can’t open your account.
- Private by default. Database row-level security means one person’s portfolio can never be read by another. Your content is yours until you choose to share it.
- Encrypted & EU-hosted. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and stored in the European Union (Supabase, Ireland).
- Trusted infrastructure. Deployed on Vercel over HTTPS throughout, with security headers and dependency scanning.
Read the privacy policy for the full detail.
